Supported Special Events and Outings

Under the guidance of the Rehabilitation Team and the facilitation of the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), intellectual, spiritual, economical, social and health pursuits of persons served are achieved in a manner that accommodates on site, community based, group and individual activities. Input is gathered in a way that parallels program goals and individual needs.

• Identify activities that encompass the components of enjoyment: the experience of satisfaction and the possession or achievement of some characteristic.
• Incorporate the following life domains into persons served daily living and activities: Being, Belonging and Becoming
• Continue to foster a balance between therapeutic and recreational activities during a collaborative effort of individual and group participation
• Create opportunity for individualized well- planned vacations under the careful facilitation of the Care Coordination Department
