Margaret Fankhauser — DO
Medical Director
I am Dr. Margaret Fankhauser, D.O. I specialize in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Michigan State University. As the Medical Director of Origami, I help coordinate the treatment team and make certain that clients receive an individualized program that is best for their specific problems. The Origami team works well together, providing an atmosphere where people with brain injury can recover and utilize the skills they are working on in a safe environment, and then practice in the community with therapist assistance. Often the problems after brain injury are subtle and only noticed by those who have more than a casual conversation with the person. Because this type of injury affects interactions with all significant friends and family members, it helps to have them involved in treatment as a critical part of the treatment team.
