Origami Rehabilitation Achieves Highest Level of CARF Accreditation

Origami Rehabilitation has received the highest level of accreditation (three-year) following a thorough survey conducted by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International).

A CARF International surveyor team toured Origami’s campuses in Mason and Lansing. They interviewed staff in all departments, clients in all programs, family members, and referral sources to better understand the environment in which services are provided.

The following programs and services were awarded accreditation:

  • Interdisciplinary Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation Programs: Brain Injury Specialty (Adults)
  • Interdisciplinary Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation Programs: Brain Injury Specialty (Children and Adolescents)
  • Residential Rehabilitation Programs: Brain Injury Specialty (Adults)
  • Residential Rehabilitation Programs: Brain Injury Specialty (Children and Adolescents)

Origami was also recognized for its serene and therapeutic environment, tenured passionate team, variety of unique specialty services, and the support they provide not only clients but their families too, recently implementing a “Caring for the Caregiver” questionnaire.

Surveyors interviewed external stakeholders who spoke highly of the communication practices and services of Origami Rehabilitation, describing Origami as a “one-stop-shop” for all rehabilitation needs. During the surveyors’ interviews with external stakeholders, the Origami team was consistently described as “attentive, detail-oriented, and engaged.”

“It is with gratitude and pride that we share this achievement,” said Tammy Hannah, Origami’s President & CEO. “Being a three-year CARF-accredited rehabilitation facility is an honor, and we don’t take it lightly. These survey results motivate us as we continue to strive toward our vision of being the leader in maximizing access to innovative services with exceptional results.”
