Covid-19 Origami Hiring Practices

At Origami, we are committed to creating opportunities and transforming lives. This mission applies to our applicants just as much as it does to our clients and employees. COVID-19 has challenged us to be creative and safe with our employment practices.

Your health is our priority. Origami is still hiring, and in fact, we are thriving despite COVID-19. Jobs posted on our career page are all actively being filled. To ensure the safety of all, we are relying on Zoom online interviews and Zoom online orientations.

Once working at Origami, you will find we are taking every possible precaution to ensure our client's and staff's safety. Each day begins with staff symptoms and temperature checks. Next, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided to staff to ensure respiratory transmission is prevented. Our serene workspaces are undergoing continuous fogging of disinfectant. Personally and professionally, our staff comply with CDC and Ingham County Health Department guidelines. We have even developed a robust team of trained staff who are ready to serve should COVID-19 ever appear on our campus.

We sincerely value you, your health, and consideration of Origami as your next employer. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to HR@origamirehab.org.

#TeamOrigami Perks

Our tight-knit team feeds off innovation, creativity and compassion to provide the best possible care to those we serve. Just as our employees provide top-notch care to our clients, we do all we can to reciprocate that care to our employees.

We know our greatest asset is our people so Origami’s benefits help further the well-being of our employees and their families. Our comprehensive benefits are designed to enhance all aspects of our employees’ lives: physical health, financial security, general well-being, and professional development.

Generous Vacation Time

We understand the benefits of spending time away from work to refresh and reinvigorate the mind. For this reason, the average Origami employee receives over four weeks of paid time off per year.

Retirement Planning

We all deserve a happy and financially healthy retirement. To assist in saving for retirement, the average Origami employee receives nearly a five percent employer contribution to their retirement account.

Health Benefits

We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance from some of the best carriers in the nation with widespread in-network providers.

Paid Parental Leave

We want our employees to be able to bond with the newest additions to their families and return to their jobs feeling confident and ready. Employees may receive paid time off after welcoming a new child into their family.

Wellness Resources

We have a robust Wellness Program which includes fresh, healthy food from local farms delivered straight to our campus, onsite garden plots for employees to grow fruits and vegetables, onsite massages, onsite yoga and Tabata classes, and much more!

Serene Work Setting

Nestled on a beautiful 35 acre wooded campus, it may feel like we’re in the middle of “nowhere,” but a short ten minute drive can get you to downtown Lansing or onto Michigan State University's campus.

Employee Recognition Program

Few things are more meaningful than peer acknowledgement and appreciation of your efforts. Therefore, we are proud to offer a wide array of initiatives to recognize our employees for their contributions.

Tax-Advantaged Savings Accounts

Depending on you and your family’s needs, we offer a selection of tax-advantaged accounts to assist in saving for some of life’s most costly expenses. These accounts include Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Dependent Care Accounts.

Disability Insurance

Here at Origami, we understand tomorrow holds no guarantees. Therefore, we are pleased to offer employer paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance for our employees’ peace of mind.

From the moment I joined the Origami team, I felt my input was truly valued. The way everyone worked together nearly flawlessly was so impressive. Origami does an amazing job at balancing the need to take care of employees on both a personal and professional level. I love being a part of a team that truly cares about the well being of our clients, their families, and all in the community who have sustained brain injuries.
