Vision is an area of occupational and physical therapy for which compensation strategies are often employed. However, functionality and the underlying problem can often be remediated, reducing the need for compensation.

In this workshop we will go beyond compensations to discuss comprehensive screening, evaluation, and treatment for brain injury and stroke related deficits for pediatric and adult populations.  Included will be background education, terminology, common deficits, equipment for a limited budget, common vision therapy equipment, and therapy applications that can be used to correct the foundational problems. Clinicians will discuss vision diagnoses and how they impact functioning, as well as evaluation and treatment applications.
