Tammy Hannah, MBA, OTRL, CBIS
President & CEO
Tammy Hannah serves as President and CEO of Origami Rehabilitation, a nonprofit organization providing comprehensive rehabilitation to children and adults with neurological, developmental, mental health, and orthopedic conditions.
Tammy's connection to Origami began in 2000, when she was an occupational therapy student completing her final internship. During that internship, she was offered a position as Origami's first full-time therapist and began as an employee the very next day after completing her student experience. She progressed into executive leadership in 2004. Her career has grown alongside the organization, giving her a unique perspective that spans direct clinical care, operations, organizational growth, and executive leadership.
With more than 25 years of experience in rehabilitation and human services, Tammy is a servant leader who believes strong organizations require both a deep commitment to people and a willingness to hold themselves accountable for results. She values strong processes, transparency, accountability, and performance, while finding the greatest measure of success in helping others grow, lead, and succeed.
Tammy has served for more than 15 years as an international surveyor in Medical Rehabilitation for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), bringing extensive experience in quality, accreditation, and rehabilitation best practices. She is also actively engaged in brain injury and disability advocacy and has served in leadership roles with organizations working to improve access, opportunity, and outcomes for people with disabilities.
Tammy earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Saginaw Valley State University and her Executive MBA from Michigan State University. Her commitment to Origami's mission is both professional and deeply personal, and she remains passionate about creating opportunities for people to achieve greater independence, meaningful participation, and the fullest life possible.
