Reflex Integration
Integrating Reflexes, Unlocking Potential
At Origami, Reflex Integration Therapy is a non-invasive, play-based approach designed to help children and adults overcome challenges caused by retained primitive reflexes. Primitive reflexes are automatic movements present at birth that typically disappear as the nervous system matures. When these reflexes persist beyond infancy, they can impact development, coordination, attention, and emotional regulation.
Our specially trained therapists use specific, repetitive movements to “integrate” these reflexes, supporting neurological development and improving functional abilities. Therapy is tailored to each individual, creating a safe, supportive environment for growth and progress.
How We Help
Reflex Integration Therapy addresses a wide range of challenges, including:
- Developmental delays and difficulties with motor milestones
- Sensory processing issues, including hypersensitivity or seeking behaviors
- Poor coordination, balance, or fine motor skills
- Attention difficulties or ADHD
- Emotional regulation and self-control challenges
Therapy is delivered in a play-based, engaging manner, helping participants build skills naturally while fostering confidence and independence. Our therapists work closely with families to provide guidance and strategies to reinforce progress outside of sessions.
Who Can Benefit
Reflex Integration Therapy is effective for:
- Children struggling with developmental or motor delays
- Kids and adults experiencing sensory processing difficulties
- Individuals with attention, focus, or behavioral regulation challenges
- Those with coordination or balance difficulties
- Anyone looking to improve functional movement, learning, or emotional regulation
